Over the five days of this March Break program we will be pumping children’s spirits, their sense of self and of community, showing how our day-to-day feelings and actions affect outcomes and the achievements of our goals and ultimately affect the world we live in.

All of our programs use fun activities, captivating guests, creative arts and sports or games to help children realize developmental goals and aspects of life that are sometimes overlooked in everyday teaching.

We are not able to accept “walk ins” on the days, so please register online early as space is limited and anticipated to sell out.

Full Week Program Fee*: $225

Program Highlights:

Monday March 16 All About Y.O.U. All about Y.O.U. Monday is all about you (Your Own Universe), your identity, emotions, your mind and taking a deeper look deep inside your heart. We will be using a couple clips from the Pixar movie Inside out, this movie is a great resource for educating children to be true to themselves, to learn that feeling sad isn’t always bad and that memories can be both happy and sad at the same time. Interactive games, creative arts, research/learning and fun group activities as well as outdoor time.
Tuesday March 17 Stand Up and Shout Out! Stand Up and Shout Out! Tuesday, with our Special visitor Saidat, will centre our camp around magical moments of kindness, inclusion, music, and motivation with opportunities for the campers to experience different lesson through a variety of movement activities they can get up and participate in. We encourage children to stand up for themselves and for others and teaching them that they have a voice worth being heard.
Wednesday March 18 Friends & Family Rock! Friends & Family Wednesday puts spotlights on friends and family. Friendships can be developed within families, neighbourhoods, in schools and even through the mail. Developing friendships takes a lot of work and team building activities can help with this. Family is a very important part of our everyday lives and we will be encouraging children to dive deeper into what they enjoy about their family, think of ways they can work together, make new friends, and remember ‘CONFIDENCE is catching’ and then some.
Thursday March 19 Together We Change the World! Together We Change the World focuses on the community and the world at large. How are we going to make a difference? Dr. Seuss book and movie the Lorax showcases the importance of sticking up for those who don’t have a voice and protecting our natural resources. Along with ideas and activities inspired by clips from this movie, our campers will get to think of ways in which they can give back to our community and the world.
Friday March 20 Waterdown WE Day! Camp Waterdown’s first ever extraordinary Waterdown WE Day day will be a “Celebration of Hope and Achievement”. Our campers will become our guest speakers and entertainers as this day was designed to encourage our campers to share their motivational messages and what they have synthesized from the week. They will be able to decide on how they are going to express what they have learned over the week in variety of different art and performance forms to share with their peers and families. Families invited 3pm – 5pm!

All our participating families are invited to join us on Friday afternoon (3-5pm) for a “Parent Showcase” of all we have achieved this week!
