Current Child Care Rates*

These monthly rates are derived by averaging the cost for Care throughout the whole year, and so a discount is not given for mandatory HWDSB Facility Closures, Statutory Holidays or a 2-Week Winter Holiday Closure (normally corresponds with the HWDSB Winter Holiday), but does include attendance on most Non-Statutory School Holidays. (*These are the full rates and do not reflect any reduction which may be deducted from your monthly fees, if in effect at time of enrolment. )

The following fees for the WDCC Child Care Program are effective 2024 - 2025:

Full market fees are currently lowered by the Canada Wide Early Learning Child Care (CWELCC) Fund Program and is the rate that parents would pay without CWELCC subsidization of child care fees. In some cases your Preschool child may continue on a Toddler rate if there is no current room in a Preschool Room (the rates are determined by the ratio of educators to children which is higher for Toddlers. * Program includes 7:30am - 5:30pm hours and healthy meal plan (mid-day meal, plus AM and PM snacks).

Cancellations and Refunds

A minimum of 1 full calendar month’s advance written notice, to the start date or to the end of the following month is required to withdraw your child from our program or to drop sessions from your schedule (i.e if you give us notice of an upcoming withdrawal during April, then billing can stop AFTER the month of May is billed at the existing rate).

Due to the high demand, limited enrolment and need to secure program resources; we require our families’ full commitment upon offer of placement. Credits or refunds are not given for illness, absences or program / facility closures due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances except where noted.

Hamilton Child Care Subsidy: If you anticipate having a child care subsidy contract with the City of Hamilton, you would confirm that option with the City at the time we can offer you space. We will inform you separately, upon receipt of your contract from the City, if any user fees (Parental Contribution Fees) are required to be paid.

Please note that we do not take deposits until we are able to guarantee you a placement.

This is the required or ideal number of days we could offer you. (Priority is always given to 5 day a week placements. We are rarely able to accommodate part-time placements on a continued basis.)

Choose which days you would prefer (or range which we could offer you). We prioritize 5 day a week placements so that has been pre-chosen. Only unselect days if you are unwilling to accept a full-time placement (families are not able to reduce care from 5 days once enrolled except under very exceptional circumstances).

Requested EARLIEST DATE of program attendance?*

Choose today's date if you "could" start right away. We use this date as a guide so as to offer you space as much in advance of when you think you would be able to first attend (based on due date, back-to-work date, etc.) .) Normally your paid care period begins on the first day of the month, even if entry does not, to reserve your space.

We will contact you if and when space becomes available. Your current priority in our wait list will be reviewed and preserved. If you have not heard from us, that means we have not had space to offer you. You may contact us by phone or email should you no longer require care. You can also refuse space offered if it is no longer needed.
