Yesterday, Premier Ford and Minister Lecce announced the closure of schools for the remainder of this school year. Also during this announcement there was limited information provided about the reopening of both child care and summer camps. We have had to close all our offices, so all our staff are working separately from home, and we are employing modern teleconferencing and online Team software to continue our program planning and improvements. The Elementary Teacher’s Federation of Ontario and HWDSB have confirmed that there will be a province-wide walk out on Friday February 21st affecting ALL HWDSB Schools (Elementary and High Schools). At this point, unless a settlement is reached or we are informed otherwise by the HWDSB, we are planning to provide another Full Day Alternate Program at Guy B. Brown Elementary, 7am – 6pm
